Artists 360 Undergraduate Student Artist Application 2024

ABOUT THE ARTISTS 360 UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT GRANT PROGRAM

Artists 360, a program of Mid-America Arts Alliance made possible through the philanthropic support from Steuart Walton and Tom Walton through the Walton Family Foundation, provides grant funding and professional development opportunities to individual artists of all disciplines living in the Arkansas counties of Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian, and Washington.


Artists 360 is designed to elevate and energize greater Northwest Arkansas Student Artists by providing them with:

  • $2,500 grants to support creative practices and career advancement

Five annual grants are awarded to individual degree-seeking artists enrolled in undergraduate programs at Northwest Arkansas higher education institutions during the 2024-25 academic year.

The application deadline is June 10, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Applicants will be notified by September 1, 2024.

REVIEW CRITERIA


Panelists will review applications based on:


Artistry: Selected artists will demonstrate a well-developed creative practice in both work and process and show a deep commitment to their work. Selected artists will show motivation to continue and further evolve.


Impact of Funding on Practice: Selected artists will identify the ways they initially anticipate the Artists 360 funds will impact their careers and creative practices.  These impacts should relate to self-identified challenges and/or desired futures.


Balanced Cohort: The overall balance of the group of grantees will be considered to ensure a broad representation of perspectives, disciplines, and experiences.

Artist Resume/CV

Proof of Enrollment

Upload proof of enrollment in your community college, college or university. Scans of documents will be accepted in either .png, .jpg or .pdf formats. Please provide one of the acceptable documents listed below (1MB maximum file size): 

  • Student identification card demonstrating you will be enrolled in the 2024-25 school year. 

  • A transcript or course list showing the courses you are enrolled in during the 2024-25 school year.

  • A letter from your college student affairs or admission office stating that you are enrolled in the 2024-25 school year (the letter should be on school letterhead and signed by an admissions official.

Work Samples

Include up to a total of five work samples that highlight your creative practice.

  • Samples may be uploaded or provided as URLs below.  You may mix and match a combination of uploads and URLs.

  • All uploaded files should be titled with the name of the artist, <FirstnameLastnameSample1>. No spaces or special characters.

  • Uploaded files may not be larger than 1MB.

  • You may mix and match the following sample types:

    • Visual Images : .png, .jpg or .pdf file format or URL.

    • Audio : (1 minute = 1 sample) Audio files should be uploaded to a streaming service (Soundcloud) or hosted on a website and shared via URLs.

    • Video : (1 minute = 1 sample) Video should be uploaded to a streaming service (YouTube or Vimeo) or hosted on a website, and shared via URLs. Videos make sure are set to public viewing, or can be viewed with link. Remove ads from playing before/during videos, if possible.

    • Literary : (2 pages = 1 sample) Written work should be uploaded as .pdf files. You may submit one or more typed, double spaced work samples in a 12 point font
