Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant Program Photo Submission Form

M-AAA and NEA are eager to feature your project photos on the Creative Forces National Resource Center and other Creative Forces media. The photos you submit using this form will help us prepare announcements to the press and public as well as seed future storytelling. Photo Submission

Thank you for submitting photography of your Creative Forces funded grant project. We are grateful to have these images and for your effort in preparing them. Please note the following for submitting photos:

- A Creative Forces Media Release Form is required to be uploaded for all individuals who are identifiable in the uploaded image. Images submitted that don't include Media Release Forms cannot be accepted. - Photos should be high resolution, preferably 3 MB or larger. - We can only accept JPEG, TIFF, or PNG files. We can not accept PDF or HEIC files. - File names for your photos should include your organization name and a number. (Example: Pleasantville1.jpg) -Clear, high-quality, well-lit photos work best for our needs. Light is an essential aspect of a high-quality image. -The best photos focus on at least one subject and make the subject clear and well- lit in the picture. Upload your photo here

Photo Captions

Captions are required for each photo you upload. Captions should include: - File name of the uploaded photo (so we know what photo it applies to) - Brief description of the activities in the photo - Organization name - Names (and military rank and affiliation, if applicable) of the individuals featured in

the photo. (Please note that names are not necessary for photos of a large group over ten people.) Example: Pleasantville1.jpg: Army veteran Sally Smith collaborates with writer Nathan Martin during Pleasantville Writers League’s intergenerational Writers Workshop at the Pleasantville Vet Center in October 2023. Alt Text

Alt text is a text substitute for visual content. It is especially critical for people with visual and cognitive disabilities. The alt text description of your image should provide an equivalent experience to viewing it. The best way to do this is to describe the image's main focus, the action happening, and the surrounding context. Keep the alt text clear and concise. Example: A diverse group of adults poses indoors, holding vibrant abstract paintings. Some members hold musical instruments. They are smiling and standing before large windows emitting natural light.
